Gas Fire Servicing

It is important to have a Gas Fire Serviced every year for safety and reliability. Gas Fires are what we call “open flued” appliances, which means they draw in air from the room to burn along with the gas. Our Gas Fire Servicing includes chimney checks to prevent fume “spill”.

Our Process

A correctly operating Gas Fire is perfectly safe, however, if a problem with the chimney occurs, the fumes can “spill’ back into the room. Your Engineer will carry out Safety checks with the utmost attention to detail to ensure your Gas Appliance lasts and is safe to operate.

StepBookLarge

Step 1: Book

Fill out our booking form and our team will then confirm a single day and time that your Engineer will arrive. Don’t worry about waiting in all day, your Engineer will call ahead to let you know they are close by.

WorkLarge

Step 2: Work

We completely remove the burner and thoroughly clean it, promoting a long life for your Gas Fire. We will also clean all other parts of the fire including coals, radiant pots and injectors. The injector on a gas fire isn’t much bigger than a hair so it is important this is cleaned to prevent the fire from operating if the slightest bit of dirt is formed in the injector.

Advise

Step 3: Advise

Once the fire has passed a visual test and is clean it is then checked for Gas Safety. Your Engineer will then carry out a free Gas Meter and Pipework Leak Test, and advise you on any extra steps you can take to help ensure the safety of your Gas Appliances.
